Sunshine and Sociopaths!

Today was beautiful; although I did just see the BBC Weather, and I know that some of you may be muttering something to the contrary - sorry.

We took Mr Chimp, the Year 2 toy who comes complete with a guilt-inducing notebook to ensure you don't spend the weekend in front of the TV, out for some fresh air.

We went up the Downs and located the WWII Canadian tank just off the South Downs Way above our village...

A nice stroll and picnic, then I was dropped off home, whilst Daddy took the kiddos to use up the last of their energy at that park.

I got to enjoy more sunshine with the essentials...

... and it would have been perfect were it not for the 'man' two-doors-down who has taken up angle-grinding everyday this week.  Believe me, it was not only the sky that was blue xxx

  4. Hahaha! When Emily came home with the requisite soft toy and was writing in the diary she got my attention when she asked me how to spell alcohol. She wanted to tell everyone she tasted alcohol that weekend! Thank goodness for tipex!

  7. a giraffe came into the library where I work last Saturday and sat on the counter to get his photo taken. This broke several by laws at one stroke. ~Apparently he was on a weekend visit from school

  8. Had to laugh at a couple last week who were taking a photo of Flat Stanley in St Vitus Cathedral in Prague. So you are not alone and at least you had the children with you unlike them :-)

  9. You're killing me with those blue sky photos. Did you notice the MASSIVE grey cloud over all of Ireland when you were watching the news.
So glad you had fun - hope you soaked up enough sun for the two of us!

  11. I am understanding that this toy is some kind of school thing, sigh. I am glad you got out in the sun and the kids got a chance to know what helpful sorts we Canadians were in the war and all. We have had a lovely weekend here too.

  14. It was lovely here too! Not getting the sociopath bit- if you're referring to yourself needing quiet time believe me, you are NOT a sociopath. I am related to a real life one and I'd swap for you any day of the week!

  17. Looks like Mr Chimp had a lovely day out! I used to ask some of my children to give the class teddies/dogs a bath (yes, we had two so you got it more frequently - wasn't I popular with the parents?!! Most just got one for a night, though!) - they definitely needed it after all the sleepovers they had and all that time playing football and being buried on the beach didn't help ;o)
